Shorepoint Insurance Services offers valued executive clientele several life insurance products for business continuity and to maintain employee retention. Some of our product offerings include:
Key Person Life Insurance
Key Person Life Insurance minimizes financial hardship in the event of the untimely death of a “key person”. Losing someone with a unique set of skills, abilities and important business relationships may cause an immediate loss of revenue. As long as certain IRS codes are met, the business receives a tax free, lump sum, cash benefit upon the death of that person. The business can then recruit, hire and train another qualified employee, offset the possible loss of important business relationships and protect their credit ratings.
A Buy-Sell Agreement funded by a life insurance policy keeps a business going in the event of the owner’s death. The life insurance policy is issued on the owner, with the business as the owner and beneficiary. In the event of the owner’s death, the business receives a tax free, lump sum, cash benefit to purchase the deceased owner’s shares.
An Executive Disability insurance policy provides executives with a higher monthly benefit, income protection for a bonus or commission, inflation protection and will also make up for lost taxes during a claim.
The Business Continuity Plan is intended to ensure the safety of a business’ associates and the resumption of critical operations and services in the event of an emergency such as fire, power or communication blackouts, natural or man-made disasters, foreign and domestic terrorism and civil disturbance.
Long Term Care
Long Term Care insurance can protect the executive’s life savings and retirement assets. With the cost of assistance for daily living activities increasing and individuals living longer, this benefit can ease the concern of executives who face the possibility of incurring such expense for themselves and their family.
Executive Reimbursement Plans
Executive Reimbursement Plans allow a business to offer an employee the option to apply for, own, and choose the beneficiary of a life insurance policy and then bonus the employee the cost of the insurance policy.
